Knowing When You’ve Hired the Right Security Company

Hiring the right security company can be a daunting task; whether you are a business in need of security guard services or a private party in need of investigation work, you want to make sure that you are in capable hands. Whatever the reason for your search may be, it is very important that you know what to look for and which questions to ask when it comes to choosing the most reliable company.

Do Your Research – Make sure you conduct significant research before hiring a security company. You should only select companies that have positive track records, and good feedback from prior clients. Also, if you are in need of a very specific service, be certain that the company has proven itself as a top performer in that specific area of security services.

Ask For References – Prior to finalizing your decision, ask each security company for references, and take the time to check into those references to see what former clients are actually saying about their services. Some companies, Like LawDog Security will even display client testimonials right on their website for easy access.

If you are provided with a former client’s information, here are some questions you may want to consider asking:

– Were there any problems with the company that I should know about?
– Did the security guards act and dress in a professional manner?
– Were any issues that were brought to the company’s attention addressed promptly and professionally?
– What made you choose this company over other security companies?

Check the Better Business Bureau – The Better Business Bureau is another great way to check out a company’s reputation. By using the BBB, you can find the company’s rating and see the good and the bad. This service gives you a more thorough guide to how a company conducts their business.

All in all, do your research and trust your instincts; any company you do business with is like a partner – you need to feel comfortable and secure in the way they perform their services. Make sure the security company knows your needs, can accommodate each of them, and understands that just because one company may be a little cheaper than another doesn’t always mean that the services that they provide will be comparable.  Sometimes the old saying of “You get what you pay for” rings true.

The security company you choose should be easy to reach at all times and easy to communicate with so that if there are any problems, you will know that they will be resolved quickly.  Here at LawDog, we are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to answer any question and resolve any problem that may arise.

I like the suggestion to check the better business bureau to check out a companies reputation. It’s important to take the time to make sure that you’re hiring a reputable security service. Whether you’re hiring them for a short time or for a long-term, it’s important to know that you feel comfortable hiring them in the first place.
